Computer Science
With the continuous advancement of science and technology, the study of programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning gives students a competitive edge. Learning coding develops logical and operational thinking. It also offers opportunities to build problem-solving abilities and the soft skills associated with overcoming challenges. Technological ability and innovative thinking are core skills of LUYA students. Computer Science compliments our STEAM courses where students build machinery using their knowledge of artificial intelligence.

The purpose of learning coding is not to turn every child into a programmer, but to develop children’s “logical thinking” and “operational thinking” abilities. The computer science and coding curriculum offers students the opportunity to develop multiple skills and capacities simultaneously. While students learn coding, they’re building soft skills. Debugging, for example, is the best way to develop the skills of frustration tolerance and growth mindset that prioritizes problem-solving.
