Character & Wellbeing
The LUYA House System
At LUYA, every student belongs to one of four Houses, creating a strong sense of belonging and teamwork. Together, we form one big LUYA family where everyone’s actions matter.
How the House System works
01
Belonging across grades
Houses bring students of different ages together. Older students are encouraged to guide younger ones, while younger students contribute their energy and fresh ideas.
02
Recognising positive choices
Students earn House points for showing respect, kindness, effort and leadership — the everyday actions that bring the ARISE values to life.
03
Celebrating together
House totals are announced each week, and monthly and semester celebrations recognise the collective achievements of our Houses.
Reflection and growth
Learning from every choice
The House System encourages positive choices and responsibility. When behaviour does not meet expectations, points may be deducted — not to punish, but to help students pause, reflect and improve.
Clear, age-appropriate expectations and restorative approaches help students take responsibility, repair relationships and grow in accountability and empathy, building a caring environment where everyone supports each other — just like a family.
Character in action
The House System is one of the ways LUYA brings the ARISE values into everyday school life.
