About LUYA Academy
LUYA Academy embraces holistic learning and creates an uplifting environment for our students. Curriculum
LUYA combines the curriculums in Taiwan and in America. Our unique curriculum is divided into the “core curriculum” and the “prospective curriculum.” The core curriculum features the standard subjects that are taught in both English and Chinese. The prospective curriculum includes subjects that allow students to explore interests and to be creative in the arts and to prepare them for the future in technologically-focused subjects.
English Language Arts
ELA curriculum fosters independent reading and writing, enhancing critical thinking, empathy, and global understanding through diverse literary and informational texts.
Science
The Science curriculum at LUYA Academy covers five major areas: Physical Science , Life Science , Earth Science , Space Science , and Nature of Science.
Social Studies
Our students learn social studies so that they can understand more about the world, Taiwan, other countries, other people, and themselves.
Mathematics
LUYA instills lifelong mathematical prowess and a love for learning by fostering an environment of observation, questioning, and creative thinking.
Chinese
Mandarin Chinese teaching focuses on mastering texts and cultivating interest to develop organizational skills, creativity, and expression.
Performing Arts
Performing Arts fosters creativity in a safe and supportive environment, skill-building, and self-discipline.
