Arise Global Education Joins the NCUK Global Network
On October 16, 2024, The Northern Consortium, UK (NCUK) and Arise Global Education (AGE) officially announced their collaboration in Taiwan to introduce a one-year International Foundation Year (IFY) program. This initiative offers Taiwan high school students a new pathway to world-class education.
The program will commence in September 2025 at AGE’s Lin Kou campus in New Taipei City. Upon completing the one-year course, students will gain guaranteed entry into over 50 NCUK partner universities, including renowned institutions in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. This opportunity is designed to empower Taiwan students to confidently step into global education and explore advanced academic opportunities.
Drew Newport, NCUK’s Regional Director for Asia, stated at the signing ceremony that for over 30 years, NCUK has been dedicated to helping students achieve their academic dreams and enhancing their global competitiveness. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Taiwan students seeking international higher education, providing strong support for those aspiring to study abroad.
AGE’s CEO emphasized that completing the NCUK IFY program in Taiwan helps students build a solid academic foundation and adapt more easily to international cultures and environments. This approach not only reduces the financial burden of studying abroad but also alleviates the psychological pressure associated with the university application process.
The IFY program offered by NCUK and AGE will feature small class sizes and personalized guidance, ensuring each student receives ample resources and support. The program aims to enhance students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Since its establishment nearly 40 years ago, NCUK has successfully helped over 50,000 students enter top universities worldwide. Its partners include the Taipei City Government’s Department of Education. The partnership with AGE in Taiwan is expected to further expand Taiwanese students’ access to international education, enabling them to excel in competitive environments and achieve their dreams of attending prestigious global universities.
